You already have a WordPress site, but…
So you already have a WordPress website but it has a few “issues”.
We encounter this time and time again. WordPress is a fantastic platform, and we highly recommend it, but because the ecosystem is so huge, without experience it’s hard to make the right choices when it comes to plugins and themes.
Below are just some of the ways we can help.
You can’t find the plugin you need
This works great, except when it doesn’t.
Either the plugin doesn’t present the information in the right way, is awkward to use, or perhaps comes with a bunch of extra functionality to support its many thousands of users, but in your case is just plain confusing. Worse still, the plugin author is no longer around to support it!
This is where you need something tailor made with professional support.
Talk to us about what you need, and if we can’t find a plugin that does it, then we’ll build one for you.
You want to make some changes to your theme
Without going the whole hog and building a new custom theme, we’ll take care of the necessary changes to your existing theme.
We would just say that if the changes are too drastic, then we may recommend a new theme anyway. It really depends on what you need to have done, but we’ll advise you either way before we start any work.
Bespoke theme development
Once again, this works great, except for when it doesn’t.
Because these themes are designed to support a huge range of requirements for many different users, there’s a price to pay. It’s hard to customise the themes exactly the way you want, and your website can end up looking the same as all the others using the theme. Also, because of their size, they can slow your site down with all the files and assets (images, videos etc.) necessary to support every website that’s running it.
In this case, a custom developed theme makes much more sense. Because the theme is developed to support only your website and achieve your specific goals, it’s much lighter on your web server, so pages will load faster. It will also be easy to customise in the future as your business evolves.
Finally, WordPress is designed so that your content is kept separate from your theme. So if you decide to change it in the future, it will work with all your existing content.
